Our Contribution

Along with financial support, we also donate clothing and quilts to their Jaipur centre, which operates a major centralised kitchen serving children in our region.

About The Akshaya Patra Foundation

The Akshaya Patra Foundation works to combat hunger and malnutrition across India by implementing the Mid-Day Meal Scheme in government and government-aided schools. Their mission is not only to ensure no child goes hungry but also to encourage consistent school attendance.

Since its inception in 2000, Akshaya Patra has expanded dramatically, driven by technology, innovation, and strong partnerships. Their state-of-the-art kitchens have become globally recognized and often studied by visitors from around the world.

Impact

What began in 2000 with meals for 1,500 children across 5 schools has grown into the world’s largest NGO-run mid-day meal programme. Today, Akshaya Patra serves over 1.6 million children across 13,839 schools in 12 states of India — ensuring every child receives nutritious food every school day.
